Alcaraz Wins Miami Open Title, Defeating Sinner in Final

Miami Gardens, FL – March 28, 2023

World number one Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his Miami Open title on Sunday, defeating Italian Jannik Sinner in the final.

The 19-year-old Spaniard won 7-5, 6-4 in a match that lasted over two hours. Alcaraz broke Sinner's serve once in each set, and he saved all three break points he faced.

"It was a tough match, but I'm really happy to have won," said Alcaraz. "Jannik is a great player, and he played really well today. But I was able to stay focused and play my best tennis." Sinner, who was playing in his first ATP Masters 1000 final, was disappointed with the result, but he praised Alcaraz's performance.

"Carlos played very well today," said Sinner. "He was very solid from the baseline, and he didn't make many mistakes. I tried my best, but I just couldn't find a way to break him." This is Alcaraz's second ATP Masters 1000 title of the year, and he is now the youngest player to win multiple Masters 1000 titles since Rafael Nadal in 2005.
