Amazon Rolls Out 10,000 Electric Delivery Vehicles
Rivian Reiterates 100,000 Electric Vehicle Pledge
Electric vehicle maker Rivian (RIVN) announced Tuesday that it will open up its fleet of delivery vans to other companies, ending an exclusive agreement with Amazon. The move comes as Amazon continues to expand its electric delivery fleet, with over 10,000 vehicles already on the road and another 15 models in development.
Rivian reiterates its commitment to help Amazon reach its goal of putting 100,000 electric vehicles on the road by 2030. The partnership between Amazon and Rivian has been a key driver of the electric vehicle market, and this latest development could further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles for delivery purposes.
